Cairo, the largest city in Africa, is full of coffee shops, bazaars, restaurants and nightlife, not to mention the
world-renowned Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza. Further south, Luxor, is often described as the ‘best open-air
museum in the world’ with its monumental temples and tombs. Aswan, Egypt’s southernmost city, is a
somewhat sleepy outpost standing on the most enchanting part of the Nile, while the Red Sea resort of
Sharm el Sheikh offers excellent beach holidays and superb marine life and coral reefs. |
