Introduction

Based on a Bedouin encampment and named after the once abundant Arabian Oryx, the resort is situated amidst 225 square kilometers of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve of sweeping desert savannah and rolling sand dunes. The desert mammals of the past, including Sand Gazelle, Arabian Oryx, Arabian Fox and Caracal, are gradually being re-introduced to the area.
